Ooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhh! Tonight, Yoski and I went to pachinko and....guess what? I won. Guess how much.....89,500 Yen ( 540 British pounds ) Absolutely incredible. At first, nothing was going our way. We both lost 7,000 yen. Then Yoski went off to try another machine, but I, convinced of the sincerity of mine, sat still and focused my will on the balls. A few minutes after he'd left, came the first tub of balls. If you get three rows of an octopus, crab, dolphin, or turtle, you get a tub. I got 15 in total. 15 tubs stacked up behind me. When Yoski came back 20 mins later my wall of tubs had begun. The lady next to me urged me on, Yoski whacked my shoulder, and I smoked and kept sending the balls home!! This whacking, smoking, and urging lasted 3 hours. The great thing about the night, apart from winning money, was that there were so many contingents: we were going to go to another Pachinko parlour, I wasn't going to spend more than 3,000 Yen, I was going to change machine after 7,000 Yen, I wasn't even really keen on going because I didn't have much money etc. But then if I had followed all these paths, maybe something even more miraculous would have happened. Never know, eh. But who cares. I won lots of money, and I made a wall of tubs. I could die a happy man, but let me enjoy my winnings a while, first!
