All or Nothing
Flippin' 'eck, that Mike Leigh likes a grim tale. Famillies numbed with hatred, anger and depression; kids obsessed with saying "Shut up!" and "Fuck off!"; people too drunk to formulate cohesive sentences- this is the world I entered for over two hours. But as with all of his films, the characters regain their dignity by confronting their problems and cementing their neglected relationships. All in all, a nice film.....
Time to make a curry....all in all.....
